Notify Inbox Manager is an Android app by Signalator. It turns Android notifications into a private, searchable, local notification inbox and manager.
1. Local-first design
Notify Inbox Manager is designed to work locally on your Android device. By default, no account is required, notification content stays on your device, notification history is stored locally, and Notify Inbox Manager does not upload your notification content to Signalator servers by default.
2. Notification Access
Notify Inbox Manager requires Android Notification Access to capture and organise notifications. When Notification Access is enabled, the app may process notification information exposed by Android, including:
- notification title and text;
- app name and package name;
- notification time;
- notification group or thread information where available;
- notification actions such as reply, mark as read, open, or dismiss where Android and the original app support them.
This information is used to provide the app’s core functionality, including the local inbox, notification history, search, groups, sources, branch/thread views, read, dismiss, open and reply actions, and auto-read or auto-dismiss rules.
3. Notification content
Notify Inbox Manager only captures information that Android notifications expose to the app. The app is not a replacement for messaging, SMS, email, or social media apps. It is not designed as a deleted-message recovery tool or spy tool.
If another app hides message previews, images, or other content from Android notifications, Notify Inbox Manager may not be able to capture that hidden content.
4. Quick replies and notification actions
Where Android and the original app support it, Notify Inbox Manager may allow you to reply, mark notifications as read, open the original app, or dismiss notifications from one place. These actions are performed through Android notification actions provided by the original app. Notify Inbox Manager does not control whether a third-party app accepts, rejects, expires, or removes those actions.
5. Data stored on your device
Notify Inbox Manager may store the following data locally on your device:
- captured notification text and metadata;
- source/app information;
- groups and branch/thread data;
- read/unread status;
- user-created rules and settings;
- auto-read and auto-dismiss settings;
- app theme and language preferences;
- local reply history created through Notify Inbox Manager.
You can clear local history from inside the app.
6. Server communication
Notify Inbox Manager does not require server communication for its basic local inbox functionality.
In future versions, Plus activation or licensing may contact Signalator servers. In that case, the app may send limited licensing information such as an activation code, installation or license identifier, license status request, and purchase or subscription validation information where required. Notification content is not uploaded for licensing by default.
7. Accounts
Notify Inbox Manager does not require an account by default. If future versions add optional account, licensing, or support features, any related data handling will be described in this Privacy Policy and in the app where appropriate.
8. Third-party apps
Notify Inbox Manager may display notifications created by third-party apps installed on your device, such as messengers, SMS apps, email apps, finance apps, shopping apps, system apps, and other Android apps. Notify Inbox Manager does not control the privacy practices of those third-party apps. Please review the privacy policies of the apps that create the original notifications.
9. Data sharing
Notify Inbox Manager does not sell your personal data. By default, Notify Inbox Manager does not share your notification content with Signalator or third parties. Limited technical or licensing data may be processed if you use optional activation, licensing, support, or payment-related features in future versions.
10. Children
Notify Inbox Manager is intended for general Android users who want to manage their own notifications. It is not specifically directed to children.
11. Security
Notify Inbox Manager is designed to keep notification content on your device by default. However, no app or device storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You should protect your Android device with a secure lock screen and keep your device updated.
12. Your choices
You can disable Android Notification Access at any time in Android settings, clear local notification history inside Notify Inbox Manager, uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from the device subject to Android system behaviour, and choose whether to use optional Plus, licensing, or support features if they are introduced.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, provide notice in the app or on our website.
